Product Description

Dulux Promise Exterior Primer is a high quality, water-based primer for exterior surfaces. Its Alkali-Resistant formulation increases topcoat durability. Easy to apply, Promise Exterior Primer ensures superior adhesion of the paint film.

Application Description

Apply one coat of Dulux Promise primer and allow to dry for 2-3 hours

Health & Safety

Treatments such as sanding, burning off etc. of paint films may generate hazardous dust and/or fumes. Wet sanding/ flatting should be used wherever possible. Work in well-ventilated areas. Use suitable personal protection equipment. Lift with care – gross weight exceeds 10kg Wear eye/ hand protection. Do not breathe vapors/spray. Use only in well-ventilated areas. Remove as much paint as possible from brushes and rollers before cleaning. Avoid release to the environment. Collect spillage. Keep away from food, drinks and animal feed. Store in a cool and shaded place. Container must be in a secure, upright position and be tightly closed. In case of contact with eyes, rinse immediately with plenty of water and seek medical advice. In case of contact with skin wash immediately with soap and water or a proprietary skin cleanser. Do not use solvents or thinners. Do not empty into water course. Tips & Advice

  • 1. Preparing the Surfaces
    New surfaces must be clean, dry, free from all defective or poorly adhering material, dirt, grease, wax etc. Treat any area affected by mold, lichens, algae or moss with Aquashield Pre Treatment Coat. Previously painted surfaces should be thoroughly rubbed down using a suitable abrasive paper and then dust off.
    After priming new surfaces with Dulux Promise Exterior Primer, fill the surface with Dulux Exterior Acrylic Putty. Please refer to PDS of Dulux Exterior Acrylic Putty for correct application procedure and drying time properties. For best results, apply one coat of Primer again over wall putty.
    For powdery, dusty surfaces with cracks and defects, repair minor defects in the wall using sand whereas for larger holes and cracks, use cement mix. Allow the surface drying time. Prime surface with Dulux Promise Exterior Primer. Scuff surface using abrasive paper and dust off and then fill any surface imperfections with the Dulux Exterior Acrylic Putty
  • 2. Cleaning
    Clean all equipment with clean water immediately after use
  • 3. Storing
    Store paint in dry conditions and protect from extreme temperatures.
